THE SHOW:

First night of a 2 night NYE stand (the only time theyve played outside Colorado for New Years) find a finely balanced setlist. Theyre obviously holding back some "big" songs for NYE itself, but theyre also celebrating the birthday of John Hartford in the man's hometown, so four Hartford vehicles get the full treatment.

Adams playing on a stool with his leg in a cast, so he's unsurprisingly pretty laid back; Noam Pickelny sits in for the whole 2nd set, which makes this a very banjo heavy show. Highlights are a superb Dawns Early Light in set one, and the longest ever (20 minute) No Expectations in set 2.
